Don't quite understand your thread title

moondog · 09/07/2006 19:07

All sound stuff!

Greensleeves · 09/07/2006 19:17

Interesting article (although nothing new, and as depressing as ever)

Damn silly thread title though

WigWamBam · 09/07/2006 19:17

Nope - knickers definitely not twisting.

milge · 09/07/2006 19:24

Nothing in there for me to get my knickers in a twist about - all pretty encouraging.

OK I am really shocked by that.

"By age 2, according to a 2002 survey, 1 in 5 babies is eating candy every day. And the No. 1 vegetable for toddlers isn't pureed peas or carrots; it's French fries"

"a quarter of 9-to-11-month-olds do not routinely consume even one helping of vegetables a day. Those who do tend to have the least nutritious kind. By 9 months, potatoes, either mashed or fried, are the most commonly consumed vegetable; by 12 months, 13% of babies eat French fries every day"

They give babies fries - seriously and not giving them fruit or veg! I am seriously shocked. I know some parents feed their kids nearly all rubbish but I didn't realise it was that bad and at such a young age!!
