Cooked a whole chicken in slowcooker but not sure its cooked through?

So I finally got to cook a whole chicken in my new slowcooker. I was so looking forward to the end result after all the discussions here and was prepared for the chicken to "fall apart" as had been described by so many. No I am wondering if my chicken is cooked enough as it did not fall apart (in fact was easy to take out with two fish slices) and while the meat is succulently moist and delicious I noticed that some veins near the carcass were slightly pink. I checked the leg joint and that was not red. So just wondering if anyone who has slow cooked a chicken could advise on how the know when cooked enough as really dont want to poison anyone. BTW cooked the chicken for 10hours on low in its own juices in a 6.5litre slowcooker if any of that makes a difference. Thanks

My slow cooker cook book says to always cook joints/whole chickens on full or auto and I always do.

You check it is cooked as you would with it in the oven, do the juices run clear when you stick a fork or skewer into the thigh? If yes then it is done.

Hi Sash thaks for replying sorry been away so long. Thanks for tip re cooking on high think thats the issue. I couldnt check the thigh as the cooker was on timer and the chicken had cooled when I got it. Will know better next time.
