I'm going to make a chicken tikka masala tomorrow but I've fucked up already by buying the wrong sort of chicken

It's the hairy bikers recipe btw if that makes a difference.

How can I rescue it?

I bought thighs rather than breast and went to dice them and they still had bones. So I've managed to hack the meat off the bones and its all marinating overnight. But I don't think I can thread the meat on a skewer tomorrow and grill it.

Firstly I don't have any skewers but mainly because of the size/shape of the hacked off bits of meat.

Could I just tip it in a saucepan to cook it, then make the masala sauce and combine the two?

You can still make it without the skewering & grilling.

Marinade the chicken tonight & then make the sauce tomorrow & bung the chicken in - simmering for about 20 mins until the chicken is piping hot.

Will be delicious, I'm sure :)

It will taste lovely. I prefer thighs and drumsticks to breast. Love crunching into the bones!

Thigh is the best bit of the chicken except for crispy skin
