Can I make a lid for my slow cooker from tin foil?

Could you cut it in half & put the 2 bits side by side instead? Would that work?

It frozen solids, so now sorry. Did think of thawing it and doing that tomorrow but I really fancy eating it today

Can you defrost it in the microwave?
