LucyCampCat · 30/06/2006 16:36

lunarx · 30/06/2006 16:36

Oooh, yes, I always grill mine. Much better than frying IMO.

Auntymandy · 30/06/2006 16:38

I never fry them, wouldnt know how, I either stick them in the oven or george thwem!

Twiglett · 30/06/2006 16:38

you can also oven bake em if you want to .. in a roasting tin .. about 25 mins usually does it .. turning in between

nicer grilled .. but can never be bothered with washing the grill out

lunarx · 30/06/2006 16:38

ooh thanks for that lucy i dont have a grilling tray, so i'll have to use a baking tray and hope that works okay.

how long do you reckon it will take for 3 larger sausages?

We have recently acquired a dishwasher for the first time, and it does a brilliant job of washing the grillpan!

lunarx · 30/06/2006 16:40

oooh the george foreman grill! we have one of those!! good idea!!

OP posts:
lunarx · 30/06/2006 16:50

loads of fat coming off them as they cook, this is my new preferred way to cook them!

thanks ladies

is truggled cookign sausages on one of those - they jsut went burnt on the outside and raw in the middle.

lunarx · 30/06/2006 16:57

they came out okay..maybe thinner sausages work better on it?

OP posts:
Mascaraohara · 30/06/2006 17:00

I use the george forskin for thin sausages.

If you have a grill pan put foil in the tray under the wire grid so the fat drips onto that and then you only have to throw away the foilf not clean the grill pan everytime!

Twiglett · 30/06/2006 17:01

PMSL @ mascara

Twiglett · 30/06/2006 17:02

"George Forskin" for sausages

smirky snurk

lunarx · 30/06/2006 17:06

:D

Mercy · 30/06/2006 17:07

I usually bake mine in the oven tbh

Ulysees · 30/06/2006 17:10

bleurghhhh having images of George's foreskin

I line the grill with foil then it's easier to clean.

Ulysees · 30/06/2006 17:10

no, he won't have one though will he? Don't most americans get it chopped off?

Mascaraohara · 30/06/2006 17:11

Lol, sorry, I'm sizzling this evening...

Mascaraohara · 30/06/2006 17:11

I would imagine that he doesn't have one fwiw

lunarx · 30/06/2006 17:13

yep most americans do...

OP posts:
Mascaraohara · 30/06/2006 17:13

Actually Ulysees, as a fellow grill pan liner, I have a question for you.. do you line your foil shiny side up or shiny side down? I tend to opt for shiny side up myself

Ulysees · 30/06/2006 17:14

Poor old George bless his cotton socks

A sausage will never be the same again to me

Ulysees · 30/06/2006 17:15

shiny up every time!

I find it most reflective when positioned as such
