Who do you online food shop with?

Hi

I use asda online and they used to be good but now I have to complain each week - they do give me a refund for issues but even that's a struggle - main issues are items missing, unacceptable subs. Where does everyone else go? Is there a better online supermarket out there? Grin

It's a tricky one I think!

I agree 100% about Asda. It's just not worth the hassle even though things are a fair amount cheaper. I used to use ocado who I think are absolutely excellent - no substitutes, always on time, polite delivery men but I just can't afford it anymore :-(

I have just signed up to the Tesco saver delivery plan which I think was £40 for 6 months unlimited deliveries over £40. So far I have been impressed, sensible substitutions but not too many, on time and fruit and veg of a fair quality. Much better than when I used to use them 1 year ago and I swear theyd pick the worst quality products on the shelf!

I haven't got time to shop and am satisfied so far so will carry on until the pass is over and then review it.

Tesco are really good. They barely ever sub and they do hour slot deliveries which is handy.
When I used asda they subbed about 6 items and gave us mouldy nectarines! Not happy. Also it's a 2 hour delivery slot which isn't a big deal but Tesco is better Grin

Ocado. No substitutions ever! Brilliant service. Cannot praise enough. Sainsbury's would be second choice.

Tesco - I've found customer service to be poor and short-dated items, but I've boycotted them since they let me struggle with the heavy bags at 38 weeks pregnant (they usually at least pass them or bring them into the kitchen if requested).

Asda, when I last used, substituted Vosene detangle spray, containing tea tree oil (a natural lice deterrent) with lice removal lotion.

Ocado - and they price match Tesco so it's not as expensive as it seems and so much fancier!

ihatethecold · 29/09/2013 21:38

Ocado for me here.
Cannot fault them.

We use Ocado here too. Have always been on time so far. We've had substitutions, but have been fairly sensible.

Swore I wouldn't go back to Tesco after they missed my delivery slot (7-8pm), and customer service said they would turn up. By 11pm I had enough and cancelled the order (was advised they could redeliver next day). No good when I had a toddler and newborn and sleep is precious!

Sainsburys, never had a problem with them

I have used tesco for ages and although I had a couple of issues, they've generally been good. I particularly like the one-hour delivery slots (although I'm not sure they have them everywhere) and the fact that they remember what you've bought so after I've done my list, I can go down the list of my usuals without having to remember/search for everything and I get the delivery saver so I can order more often.

I'm intrigued Sainsburies haven't got a vote yet (I haven't tried them for a few years, but I found they were often late, delivery drivers were in a rush and slots were hard to get) and I'm thinking I might need to take a look at Ocado!

Sorry Akiss - x-posted!

Ocado. Always polite, on time, helpful, few subs. Buy meat at local butcher which is much nicer and better value.
You have to be really careful so that it doesn't get expensive. I've stopped any 3 for 2 when I only wanted 1 and spend longer looking through website to find cheaper options.
Would love to use Waitrose but their website is dreadful.
