Will 100's and 1000's bleed if I put them onto glace iced fairy cakes too early?

Making some fairy cakes for tomorrow. Mixed water and icing sugar and colouring but wanted to add 100's and 1000's and tiny star sprinkles. Usually do butter icing so am not used to this icing. Feel the sprinkles etc. need to go on sooner rather than later so that they stick but really don't want them to bleed.

Yes, they will. Can look pretty, but if you don't want that to happen you'll have to ice them tomorrow.
