will keep an eye on this thread, dd is one on friday and i need some food ideas. I did look on the celebrations topic area and i will be getting some cocktail sausages and babybel cheese and also some shaped bread cutters to make little sarnies. I'm in two minds whether to make the cake or buy it tho. PS happy birthday to your ds for wed

Whatever they would regulary nibble as finger foods. Perhaps some cucumber and carrot sticks, cut cherry tomatoes, cheese cubes, chopped up ham slices, grapes, skinless sausages, whatever "crisps" are deemed suitable, cheesy biscuits and breadsticks. Perhaps some jelly or fruit cocktail and ice cream.

Home made cheese straws, little sandwiches cut into shapes, home made mini muffins, mini pizzas (can be made with muffins or pitta bread, cut into small circles or hearts etc), breadsticks and dip, star shapes cut out of cheese slices, steamed veg sticks.

Melon/strawberries/cut grapes (I heard that grapes are the most common cause of choking in under 5s - it's my thing)

Baby quiches? Buns. Cottage cheese for dipping.
