We're putting together a page of useful resources for the upcoming Mumsnet Cookbook and wanted to throw this out to you to see what you'd recommend to others.
I suppose we're looking for shops that are particularly brilliant for utensils or gadgets, websites that you find really useful, inspirational food bloggers, you name it really.

Lakeland for gadgets

I like bbc good food, Pinterest and Cranks for recipes.

UptoapointLordCopper · 16/09/2013 21:12

I always say justbento.com to anyone who asks about packed lunches, so I might as well repeat it here too.

sharond101 · 16/09/2013 22:33

Will you link to some of the foodie MN blogs? Recipe Rifle and Letters to Nigel Slater spring to mind but there are some other really good ones that are as nice to read (food stuff) as follow the recipes.

Also Recipe Junkie and The Tiffin Box. IMO they are the best of the MN food blogs written by'unknowns'

CatherineHMumsnet · 17/09/2013 15:20

GingerBeerAndTinnedPeaches - we'll certainly try and squeeze as many references in - depends on whether the publisher is looking for blogs too. Either way, let us know what you like and we'll see what we can do.

(I don't have any personal interest in this as my blog isn't a foodie one) Just thought it would be a nice way to include unsung writers..

AndMiffyWentToSleep · 17/09/2013 18:29

I love eatyourbooks - recommended by someone on here.
It's a subscription website that allows you to search all your cookbooks and favourite blogs/magazines for recipes e.g. containing specific ingredients. It's amazing!
You should definitely get your book indexed too!

StillNoFuckingEyeDeer · 17/09/2013 19:27

I love Lakeland for gadgets & kitchen equipment.

www.goodtoknow.co.uk/recipes and www.bbcgoodfood.com/ are good for recipe ideas.

LateBloomer414 · 17/09/2013 19:31

Eat Like a Girl is a great blog. Second the nomination for Smitten Kitchen. I also religiously read The Kitchn on Apartment Therapy website. Sorry for not linking, am on mobile!

KFFOREVER · 17/09/2013 19:35

Wilkinsons have some good kitchen gadgets.

BBC good food website for recipes.

serin · 18/09/2013 00:07

Sainsbury's website has great seasonal ideas and budget recipes.

If I am looking for inspiration I have a look at the Hello Fresh website and copy what they are having!!

bail16 · 18/09/2013 08:28

Www.littlegrazers.com is a delicious website for toddler food, but we all eat it in this house!

StillNoFuckingEyeDeer · 18/09/2013 12:55

www.natoora.co.uk/shop/ for ingredients

crockpot365.blogspot.co.uk/2007/12/alphabetical-listing-of-recipes.html for slow cooker recipes

Ooh yes, I love www.littlegrazers.com too!

Toowittoowoo · 23/09/2013 12:18

Bbc good food

Delia's website - for length of time to cook a piece of meat etc.

Also crumbs feed your family blog - for quick child - friendly ideas.....but I guess you've got that one covered already!

Toowittoowoo · 23/09/2013 12:27

Wow that little grazers blog is excellent!

TheSlug · 23/09/2013 12:28

I love a girl called jack

babybouncer · 28/09/2013 06:38

Another vote for goodfood website (although I also get the magazines). I also quite like their 200 recipes for kids as there are photos of every recipe so kids can choose..

In terms of gadgets, I have a little steamer basket which was really useful for doing tiny portions of veg when just the kids were eating.

I also have some silicone muffin tins which in use when I make portions of kids food to freeze (when they were babies it was the perfect size for a portion of stew and now they're a bit older, it is just right for a portion of pasta sauce), then it's easy to 'pop' them out into freezer bags.

CavemanDaveIsVeryBrave · 30/09/2013 10:31

I like The Kitchn website, also Food52. Also Delia and BBC Good Food.

Lakeland for gadgetry and things you never knew existed, but now can't live without.
