Has anyone made the GoodFood Oct 13 cover recipe? 21 large eggs!!

Thinking of making this - but 21 eggs! I did the rainbow one which had 9 eggs for 6 layers, but I did only 5 layers, used 6 eggs, and still found it rich. Would love to make it but want to be sure it is worth it.

Is that the chocolate and vanilla spiralled cake, that looks like vertical stripes when you cut it?
I read though the recipe but decided it was way too complicated for the amount of ooooh factor so I decided not to even try it. Really, 21 eggs? Is that because of needing the egg whites?

Glad it is not just me thinking that! I am still not sure I have done the maths right on the eggs because it seems unbelievable! But it said 4 lots of chocolate mixture and 3 lots of orange, and each had 3 eggs.
