Can you freeze fairy cakes well

Trying to save money and have to think about ds lunchbox and want to know if they will freeze well?

if there is no icing/cream/jam anything else on them the basic sponge cakes will freeze, according to my cordon bleu cookbook. I've never tried it though, so not sure how well it works.

hOW LONG DO THEY TAKE TO THAW? Do you have to out them back in the oven?

I freeze them all the time - with icing on too. They thaw very quickly - o course it depends on how warm the rrom is, but an hour would be more than enough.

No, no need for the oven! Put them on a wire rack and leave them in the room. I have done it sometimes half an hour before they are eaten and they have been fine.
