I've heard tell if it on here, but the only ones I can find are chops, does anyone know one please?

In a slow cooker, can of cider over the top. Boom!

This is really good. I've never bothered with potatoes, but the pork is divine. Similar to pulled pork - very tender, falls apart.

Put a piece of shoulder of pork in a casserole, add cider top up with water. Add a bayleaf, couple of cloves and some whole peppercorns.

Bring to the boil and then simmer for several hours - slow cooker or simmering oven of an Aga overnight.

Strain and remove joint and allow it to cool slightly.

Cover the inside of a sieve with a couple of sheets of kitchen paper and run cold water through so the paper's damp.

Pour the stock through this, and all the grease and debris will be left behind. Reduce to make lovely thick gluey gravy.

Crank oven up as hot as possible and put joint in the oven to crisp up crackling, and for cooking roast potatoes.

We used to have a local butcher in Cheshire who had his own slaughter house and you could get a pork hock - with the trotter - for 28p. 56p and we had Sunday lunch for 2.

I'm doing Greek lamb today (smells lovely) but they suggest using juices for gravy and just adding corn flour, bet it would be lovely, but think I would bugger it up! can you just door corn flour in our do you have to cook it as well? (pretty clueless cook emoticon)
