It is minced meat-lamb.
They are vile in Britain but lovely in Turkey where I live.

Nemo - watched Gordon Ramsay's "The F Word" and they sent their food critic to a Donor meat factory and he was totally SHOCKED to find that it really was just minced lamb (of normal minced lamb quality) and real herbs and spices!

Donner actually came out of the review quite well!

apparently if its a halal donner then it is just decent meat, otherwise it isnt.

There was more ACTUAL meat in a donner meat than there is in sausages.... they are full of 'bits' that no human should EVER eat! Especially like the part in the ingredients that says "head meat" or "connective tissue" EEEEEEEEEEEEW!

Depends on the factory thats for sure.
