I want to make this chutney recipe. Can you answer my questions?

Are the onions weighed before or after peeling?

Can I seal it in an old jam jar that has been sterilised in the dishwasher?

Do I need Jam paper?

Does white wine vinegar go off? I have had some in the cupboard for yonks. It open. Will it be ok?

  1. Before peeling, 2) yes, if the lid is plastic coated 3) Don't know what that is and I make loads of chutney so I guess not 4) Vinegar is 'off' wine anyway so unless it has weird green shit floating in it or something, it'll be fine Smile

You need jam disks if you are not able to brim and seal the jar!
