To all of you Lidl snobs out there...

Speaking to the manager in the one I go anbd I said that some of my frinds think that Lidl's is beneath them.
He told me that they do have quite a few lines that are also supplied to M & S, just the packaging is different and you are charged double the price at M & S.

Just goes to show you that looks can be deceiving!

Yes - my cousin is a board director of a huge food company that supplies to lidl and m&s and he confirms this.

..I mean about the food, rather than wages

went through Kingston the other day and they've acquired a large site there - yippeee

wonder what products are the ones supplied to M&S? maybe it's the biscuits? can't think of anything else that looks similar....

I just love lidls so much. Cannot believe how cheap the food is and lovely quality too!

xp works there and the pay is good

don't think the meat looks that similar though? lots of M&S meat is British and the Lidl stuff is German - though I've never seen the chicken in Lidl only the sausages and deli stuff

maybe some of the juices aswell

The fruit/veg is of much higher quality than any of the other leadin supermarkets such as tesco, asda, morrisons etc

oh right - I've never looked at the fresh meat

I've bought things like dishwasher tablets _ loads cheaper and chocs at Christmas all been greats. However I did once buy an avacado and it was astonishingly tasteless.
