Need some recipes for whole family to eat

The kids are now 6&8, they mostly eat earlier than us but are more often able to eat with us now but I struggle for ideas.
They eat a reasonable range of foods as do we but when I cook for us it's mostly spicy or oriental in flavour which they don't like so for the four of us I end up doing roast chicken or spag Bol (which dd doesn't really like)

I'm in the same boat. One tip I've found useful is to use chilli flakes at the end of a recipe to end spice. So for say a pasta sauce, I cook it, serve it, then have chilli flakes on the table for me and DH to add a bit of a kick. It's more about adapting what you like rather than finding new things, because the aim is for you all to be eating the same things (eventually).

Bump for daytime traffic any ideas anyone please?

My staples seem to be:
Tuna pasta bake
Cottage pie
Fish pie
Spaghetti with prawns and chilli (family favourite)
Spaghetti carbonara (very quick and easy)
Curries, I make them hot because we all like them like that, but can be mild
Macaroni cheese (I add leeks and bacon which is a delia smith recipe)

Mind are teens now but these have been the sort of things I have cooked since they were the age of your DC's

I shall try to think of things not already listed (although Bowlersarm and I have a lot of cross over!)

baked fish with a pesto crust
roasted veg with feta and herbs crumbled on top
beef or chicken and tarragon pie
sausages (either in a casserole or as toad in the hole / mash)
pizza and garlic bread
chicken kiev
fishcakes
if its been a bad week - ham egg and chips!

I would have thought that at 6 and 8 the kids should be eating pretty much everything you eat. Appreciate they might not like very spicy things though.

Suggestions:
A naice pie with veg
Faggots and peas
Pork chops with veg
Beef casserole with veg
Lasagne
Corned beef hash
Salad with cold meat, hard boiled egg, new potatos

In the last few days we've had
Bacon, fried egg and runner beans
Chicken curry (v mild), made from left over roast chicken dinner
Roast chicken dinner
Baked potatoes with cheese and beans (Sunday eve in front of TV Blush)
Beef fajitas
Lamb fillets with naice veg
Home made pasties
