White or Brown Bread????????

Can anyone help HV says should not give brown bread to toddlers as no good for them. I only eat brown bread and my son does eats it too, anyone know why or if should not give brown. Not convinced on her anyway as she told me to starve my son till he eats.

Hmm, looked into it, and actually, it's mandatory, by law, to fortify white flour with some of the nutrients that are removed when it's refined. Wholemeal flour doesn't need fortifying, as it's still got those nutrients.

Why would the magical fortifying nutrients survive the baking process, but not the ones naturally occuring in the wholemeal flour?
