Recently discovered I love green olives

But have so far found them to be v salty. Is this just the taste, or can you get not-as-salty tasting green olives?

try black ones in oil instead of brine. I read somewhere that the green ones are unripe and contain more sodium - dunno if that's true or not. You can also wash them quickly under the tap to get rid of the brine and serve with your own choice of olive oil, herbs and garlic.

Ooooh have you tried garlic stuffed green olives? I got some in the chiller section the other day and they were sooooo good!

I like the little Spanish olives and don't find them too salty, they have a sweet flavour I think because they pick them very young. You get them in cans in the supermarket, and I suppose you could rinse them too. They are super cheap too - bonus! Fragrata are the brand I buy.
