Are slow cookers any good for vegetarian cooking?

I have a 20 month old and struggle to produce easy and healthy vegetarian meals for the family. Am thinking of buying a slow cooker but am not sure if it really works for vegetarian recipes - know they are brill for meat ones.

Would really appreciate some advice from any slow cooker experts out there!

They are okay, but mine is v under-used I'm afraid.

I do:
filling for Shepherd's pie
rice pudding
sometimes a chilli (but it's nicer when fried to start then cooked in the oven tbh)
I think I'd probably be able to use it more if I liked tinned tomatoes, as so many veggie recipes tend to shove a tin of toms in pretty much by default.
