Get thyself to supermarket of choice, purchase loads of mini samosas, various pakoras etc etc. Cocktail sausages, bread sticks, twisty kinds, some nice olives and some hummous.

Pop samosas etc in oven, separate dish with sausages mixed with a drizzle of honey and a bit of mustard, heat the lot.

Serve samosas etc with some mango chutney and lime pickle for dipping/eating with and sprinkle the sticky sausages with sesame seeds.

Bon appetit.

Buy some ready made puff pastry amd unroll it. Spread with a good pesto, sprinkle with cheese and pine nuts and roll both ends towards each other until they meet in the middle. Slice thinly and spread out on a baking sheet and bake as per pack instructions.

Bread sticks, veg sticks and hummus.
Popcorn, olives, cocktail sausages.

My personal favourite nibbles to do are a large bowl of tortillas, smaller bowls of salsa, guacamole, sour cream, jalapeños, olives, and nacho cheese sauce. With little plates.
And let everyone make their own nachos.

NumTum we do that with pizza sauce and cheese, it's one of DS's favourite lunchbox/picnic/snacks, we call them pizza hearts.

Hovis loaf biscuits, spread with a meaty pate, top with small dollop decent marmalade. For the low carb brigade, celery filled with cream cheese & smoked salmon.

Similar idea with puff pastry is to cut the ready-rolled stuff into bite-size squares, spread them with whole grain mustard and then top with whatever you have in the fridge - ham/salami, tomato, courgette, mushrooms, grated cheese, onion, mozzarella balls etc, then bake. V easy and looks like you've put much more effort in!

Bright pink beetroot dip. We don't bother grating part of the beet, just whizz it all.

That recipe is for about 300g beetroot.

You can roast the beets when the ovens on for something else. Wrap individually in foil and stick them in for 1 to 2.5 hours, at temps from 160 to 200 C. When cooked, the skin slides off in your hands.
