Says it all doesn't it. We are very fond of our food and like a good standard with decent Wine list etc
Impending Christening now calls for a good localish restaurant. Being close enough to the Nutfield priory do you think it would be suitable.........sorry but desperate for advice dh has sodded off on work for the next two weeks leaving me to organise it all on my own

What's the 'brief' Angelmother??
e.g. how many - adults/ kids approx.
what time/ day (Sat/Sun I assume)

Nutfield might be a bit stuffy.... Do you want a private room to do speeches etc, or just all get together?

Friend of mine had a really nice Christening party somewhere in Oxted - including a kids entertainer in a separate room while the adults mingled/ drank - but that might be a bit far?

I knew you might be able to help Mo2 thanks.
We will be a small enough party prob 6-8 adults, 2 3ish yr olds and baby, I'm really stumped here

Was going to say Tutu L'Auberge - but it closed. Does the Dining Room (Reigate) do private parties/La Barbe?

Dickers · 09/02/2004 12:25

Angelmother, the food may not be quite what you had in mind, but ASK in Reigate have a very nice room upstairs and they recently did a good job with DH's 40th birthday.

ANGELMOTHER · 09/02/2004 13:04

Can't find a number for the Dining Room, whereabouts is it ?
ASK might just do, somehow Italian Pizza Pasta places always seem to tolerate children better just a bit tired of them
Must say I like the idea of a private room.

The Dining Room is on Reigate High Street, Same side as M&S.
You make me feel guilty, I want to get DS (17 months) christened, but just don't have time to arrange it!

ANGELMOTHER · 09/02/2004 16:57

Don't feel guilty Dickers this a double christening for my 4 month old dd and my 4yr old dd
I'm only getting around to it now.....

Is The Parador in Reigate too informal? (Down Cage Yard) near Safeways.
Spanish Tapas bar - but serves good meat and fish mains too (lamb, swordfish etc). They have a fair wine list too.

We had a great time on Sunday there (3 families)with 6 adults, 3x 18-20 month olds and 3 x 4 year olds. There is a kids menu for £4.95 and the tapas make great 'finger foods' for kids too?

ANGELMOTHER · 09/02/2004 17:26

Great idea Mo2 I forgot about that place and thanks Aloha is there some reason why The Dining Room isn't listed in the phone book.
Will check both.
Was it that nice in the Tapas bar

It was me - don't know why not listed - but you can find it on the net. Have a lovely time.

ANGELMOTHER · 09/02/2004 18:37

Oops sorry Sykes and thank you
