I've had a look on Amazon etc, but nothing that wonderful leaping out. If anyone has one they recommend, I'd be v grateful if they could share. Has to be Catalan specifically, rather than Spanish generally, please.

Thank you :)

Hi Geraldine,
Have a look for The Catalan Country Kitchen, by Marimar Torres. You might be able to find it on second hand book websites. It was published in 1992 by Aris Books, Addison-Wesley Publishing Company Inc and the IBSN is 0-201-57721-6

It is a fabulous book.

JamNan jumps up and down. It's available on Amazon (USA)!

Amazon US

or here from the Marimar estate website

Catalan Cuisine by Colman Andrews is considered a classic by many, on Amazon here

You could have a look too at Spanish Seasonal Food by Jose Pizarro - here, his food is really wonderful

I have both and definitely use Seasonal Food most

Thank you VERY much for the replies. Colman has been purchased, but the Torres one looks great, too, so might have to get both.

Thank you again, I knew MN wouldn't let me down! :)

Hope you like it! It has great recipes and lots of interesting notes - the only drawback is no pictures beyond the occasional line drawing of generic fish or fowl.
