Fruit snack, very popular with DCs and their friends

I've had a house full of DCs friends aged 9-12 today. We generally have pretty much open house and as we are blessed with a large garden, we tend to be quite popular!

Usually I avoid feeding them too much (for lots of reasons) but today I had a large watermelon I needed some help with. So I made these

Oh the excitement Grin I used wooden skewers, cut in half, as I don't have lolly sticks.

Genius. Do you just slice it and skewer or can you freeze them for an hour for a cooler crunchier snack? My dd 1 hates fruit, but I think these might tempt her Smile

I very much hope you added the recommended "splash of schnapps" Grin Now that would be a party!

Not so sure about the dusting of red pepper, I don't tend to like chili watermelon. The salt made me wonder too but I guess watermelon margaritas have salt round the rim and they're delicious.
