Yes. Providing that you change it, by cooking it, you can.

Yes, absolutely fine as long as cooked through, chilled and frozen quick and reheated thoroughly. I do it loads with beef mince, stewing beef etc, would be a bit wary of chicken or pork as it may dry out too easily.

Yes, if you roast a chicken, freeze some leftovers, then you can defrost and turn it into a curry and eat safely once thoroughly cooked.

Well, I've been doing it for years, my mum before that and she is a microbiologist who has also worked in the food industry...it is perfectly okay.
