... but what's the best recipe for one? Hoping to make a round angry birds cake made from 2 cakes baked in one of Lakeland's hemisphere tins and then put together for my son's 5th birthday. Thank you oh wise ones!

I usually do 3 medium eggs. 175g butter and sugar, 250g self raising flour, 3 tablespoons of milk, and I tend to replace the lemon rind with vanilla extract. That recipe always works great for cakes that need to be cut, still moist but not too crumbly to cut.
