I've made too many fairy cakes....can they be frozen?

Not iced them yet. Will they be horrible once defrosted? Some are chocolate, some vanilla.

But yes you can freeze them before icing, ice them when you defrost them.

I know juneybean, am thinking maybe this won't be the case, but have made 32..... The kids already have half a lemon meringue pie to get through, all their Easter chocolate and am making a pavlova for lunch tomorrow!! Am wondering if I freeze some cakes and defrost them on Thursday they will last for a visit to friends on Friday, what do you think?

Yeah definitely freeze them as they are, I've never had any problems with defrosting them and have seen other people on here suggest freezing. But definitely do the icing on the day, as that doesn't freeze well at all!

Yep, they can be frozen, no problem. Ice them once you get them out of the freezer.

Last dumb question on this I promise .....should i take them out of their paper cases before freezing them?
