I have no scales - and need to weigh flour!

1cup (average size mug) =200g=8oz how much do you need ?

One heaped tbs on my scales is between 30-40g

Is it an unopened bag of flour?

A heaped tbsp is 1 oz flour.

A generous level tbsp is 1oz sugar.

So if making a cake you would do 4 oz butter, 4 level tbsp sugar, 2 eggs and 4 heaped tbsp flour.

Count 26-28g as 1 oz.
