I have smoked salmon, frozen on jan 5th , the packet says to use within 1 month, can i defrost and eat this week? also i have some ready meal curries that were fresh and i froze 2 months ago, they too say to freeze and use within 1 month, would you risk it?

Personally, yes i would eat the curries but maybe not the smoked salmon as the curries will be heated up again.

I'd eat both as long as they didn't smell dodgy when defrosted.

I eat things that have been in the freezer for years and I have never died (or been ill, or had any problem at all apart from freezer burn on year-old bread, and even then it tasted okay).

I never even look at when I've frozen things Blush
Agree with using common sense and looking at/smelling them!
