I have just used this recepie & is fantastic! Came home to a lovely smelling house. Soaked the lentils night before. & softened the onions etc, measured everything out. Then this morning chucked it all in for 8 hours & just added the coconut milk & lime & spinach whilst setting table. Everyone lived it, had with nann bread. Defo going to do it again as cheap & breaks the habit of eating meat every night as we do!

Love dahl and love chickpea curry. But tinned tomatoes are the food of Satan, in my book!

I make a lovely dahl with coconut milk and with lots of spiced fried onions and garlic on top. Would be easy to do a quick pan of those to add a nice final touch to the slowcooker recipe, on a day where you might have a bit of energy!

Turned it off after 6 hours on low; didn't want to be chipping it out of slow cooker! Remus I was thinking of chucking some chick peas in when I reheat too.
