Please tell me your favourite low-calorie meal

I've tried searching but every site that I search just gives me thousands of soup recipes (why are these lumped in with main meals??). I'm trying to find recipes that are 300 calories or fewer. Have you got a favourite? This has been our favourite so far. The only requirement is no fish, everything else is fine. Thank you :)

Or if anyone can recommend a recipe site where I can specify 'no blooming soup, thank you' then that would be gratefully received too.

I'd imagine that chicken and egg donburi is quite low calorie, especially if you use 1 chicken breast between two. It's very filling and there's no way you'd need a whole chicken breast per person. 1/2 a breast and one egg per person is plenty.

There are loads of recipes online (google 'oyako donburi' or 'chicken and egg donburi' for recipes), some come in at just over 300 calories a serving, some at just under.

How about roast veg with something?
Salad with potato?
Stir fry with just a little oil and loads of other goodies?

Is 300 calories not much or a lot? I wouldn't have a clue where to begin..
An open sandwich? Warm sandwich?

Is this for the whole family? If so, I still have no idea..

I dunno, amothersplace, that sounds really fattening.

Thanks all, I'll have a google for those recipes. :)

Roasted peppers, butternut squash and red onion with borlotti beans.
Loyd Grossman sauces are surprisingly low in calories (and often on offer)

My current fav is the hairy dieters bacon and eggs. Seriously yummy, very tasty and very filling too Smile

I love a salad served inside a tortilla which has been baked in the oven folded inside a wire sieve so it comes out all crispy in the shape of a basket.
