What can i use in a recipe to replace wine?

I'm making carrots with cumin, thyme butter and chardonnay, would stock just bugger it up?

no. would probably taste nice. or you could use water (just won't taste quite as nice)

Stock would work but orange juice would be nicer imo

Yeah veg stock would work, or Carmenere's suggestion of oj sounds good.

It was yesterdsay so it doesn't matter.

But no, i don't have cooking sherry, no alcohol whatsover in the house. I just buy stuff when i need it.
