I wouldn't.

Could you defrost in the microwave or defrost in the gravy before adding to slowcooker.

I often cook mince from frozen in the slow cooker when making a tomato based mince mix. We have always been fine.

Yes I regularly cook stuff from frozen in the slow cooker. Even chicken - not killed anyone...yet
