Looks cool, what are the shipping costs to the UK likely to be?

$4.85 for slow boat! Takes 4 weeks or more, but is the most economical.

There is no way I could have done this book and had the success we have had without everyone's help and contributions. I made the sweet potato balls last night and they came out greatquite tasty! Here is the featured recipe on the publisher's websitethis is one that I made up:

Teriyaki Salmon with Onions

* 1 Whole Salmon Fillet (a la Costco) about 10 to 12 inches in length
* 1/4 c Teriyaki Sauce
* 2 T Honey Mustard
* 2 T Honey or Maple Syrup
* 1 tsp Grated Fresh Ginger or Ginger Juice
* 1 Large Yellow Onion, sliced and left in thick rings
* 2 T Canola Oil for saute

Combine Teriyaki, honey mustard, honey and grated ginger to make the marinade. Marinate the salmon in this mixture for at least 20 minutes. You can do this in a deep long dish or in a Ziplock bag. In the meantime, cut up the onion into thick onion ring slices and prepare a 12" or 14" skillet using 2 T of canola oil. Cut the salmon into serving sized pieces and place in the hot pan. Place the onion rings over the salmon and pour the marinade over the onions and salmon. Cook this on high flame for about 5 minutes until the salmon is a bit blackened and turn the salmon and onions over to cook. You want to get the onions to carmelize a bit. As soon as the oil begins to separate from the teriyaki, the salmon will be done. If you overcook this, the salmon comes out a bit dry and tough. This is delicious served over rice with a nice salad.

I've bought a copy and e-mailed for you to send me an invoice with shipping, thanks. Grin Of course by the time it gets here I'll have gone back to work and won't have any time for cooking so perhaps I'll give it to dh for his birthday. Wink

sunchowder · 21/04/2006 15:51

Thank you so Bran--you see my Compulsive Gastronomic Accessory Disorder also assisted me with completing the book! Do you remember that thread?

Hi Sunchowder - congrats on your book, it looks great! Could you maybe do an E-book for non US customers?

sunchowder · 21/04/2006 16:07

Hey Fred, it only costs $4.85 to sent it internationalit takes forever to get there, but it's not too bad!!! Glad you like it toolots of Mums here contributed to make the book a success.

I have vague memories of that thread sunchowder, but I suspect that my subconscious is blocking full memory because I would then have to face the painful truth that I have the disorder too. Wink Either that or it's simply a case of too many threads competing for attention in my very limited brain.

Gingerbear · 21/04/2006 19:26

My copy is on a rowing boat, mid Atlantic, right now (hope it doesn't sink!)

bran · 21/04/2006 19:28

Gingerbear, you'd better also hope that the rowers don't run out of loo paper. Wink

Gingerbear · 21/04/2006 19:29

lol! Hello bran, haven't bumped into you online for ages, how is that darling child of yours?

cod · 21/04/2006 19:30

have meailed oyu to ask for postage costs

Gingerbear · 21/04/2006 19:32

Cod:
"OK, have checked the Post Office Website, it will cost $4.85 American to send slow boat (4 to 6 weeks), and $9.50 to send it Express (4 to 6 DAYS). So...$4.85 is the better buy as long as you can be patient. Thanks so much again! And it will all look so much better in POUNDS I believe that Pay Pal translates all of the monies too."

from Sunny's original thread.

bran · 21/04/2006 19:37

He's still darling thank you GB, and since the final adoption hearing on Wednesday he's now officially mine, all mine (ok, and dh's too). Hope the Ginger Family (or is that the Bear Family?) are all well too.

sunchowder · 21/04/2006 22:38
