Er - do you actually eat the whole pieces of garlic that are roasting round my chicken?

I normally put slivers of garlic into meat - but have roasted whole unpeeled garlic cloves (or whatever they are called)

Do you eat them like that?

& if so - how long do you have to avoid polite company for Grin

yes we all eat them

if they are roasted they don't, ahem, affect us particularly

you squeeze them out of their coating - delish

Oh good - cos the smell coming from the oven now is lovely.

I also love eating the onion that has cooked inside the chicken - but I have experimented with a whole lime in with it today (cos I bought a bag of limes to try all the asda recipes - Zingy chicken tomorrow)-so hoping it will all be delicious.

I put in garlic cloves, whole shallots & rub the chicken with & lemon then throw that in too. Then we make the gravy in the roasting pan.

Yum Yum

Oh my. I love roast garlic. Ya hear that marsey ?

Wink

I'm gowing LOADS on the allotment. Should be a smelly feast later in the year.

hub2dee · 19/04/2006 18:35

But I wouldn't have garlic that'd been swimming in chicken juices... but I'm a PITA vegetarian.
