What do you do with the cola when you've cooked your ham?!

Ham is delicious! What next? Serving with mash and fresh greens.

Ditch the cooking water. It'll be scummy and salty... not nice at all.

I ditch the cola - but if I do ham in water I keep it & use it to make lentil or split pea soup, delicious!

Works quite well with red cabbage.

Reduce it then pour over ham and pop in oven until it caramelises :)

Cook red cabbage in it.

Don't use it as a base for sauces and gravy

I throw it away although Nigella says not to.
