... and forgot about it! I have just remembered, 24 hrs later. It ought to have had 12 hrs in there. Will it be okay?

it will be fine, there are restaurants around the world that rumour to have stock pots that have been on the go for years!

I'd have thought so - probably just stronger. Taste it to see if there's a burnt tang to it but I can't imagine there would be.

Phew! It smells good anyway.
