Does anyone have experience of reasonably priced decent quality meats? I've read that to be certified organic is extremely expensive for farmers and a lot of them don't bother meaning one could get good quality meats- close to organic or free range grass fed- and not pay for an organic certification.
Also, in the US, meatsharing is rife (a bunch of people group to buy meat from a farm- cutting out middleman- win/win)- anyone heard anything about this?

you are right - you can get very ethically reared meat which is not certified organic.

It will usually be cheaper to buy at a farmers' market than a supermarket.

I have not heard of meatsharing, but often buy in bulk direct from farmer - worth checkin out farm shops and local farmers' market.
