Can I make a pie with shop bought shortcrust pastry?

I want to make a chicken and ham pie with leftover roast chicken and ham. I thought I'd sautee some leeks in butter, make a bit of white sauce and then add some left over chicken stock and then just chuck in some roasted chicken and ham and bung it in the oven for half an hour.

I've got some of that shortcrust pastry that's already rolled into sheets. Does it need prebaking or can I just put the filling in and go?

I Just put in the filling and bake myself. Make sure the filling at least cooled before putting in pie.
