Going to make rolls with dough from the breadmaker - can I freeze them before cooking and if so at what point??

That's it really, only ever use my breadmaker for loaves and pizza dough but MIL has requested rolls for Xmas dinner. I think you leave the dough to rise once you've shaped it into rolls- would that be a safe point to freeze them?

Make them, cook them, then freeze them. You will need to use the dough setting on your breadmaker and as you say shape them and leave them to rise.

On Christmas Day thaw and reheat in the oven, serve wrapped in a hot tea towel to keep them moist and warm. That way you will know they will be perfect.

Oh thank you! Very glad I asked then, I would have been entirely away in the wrong direction! Really appreciate that

Give them a nice long slow rising time. Don't be tempted to put them near a radiator or in a hot steamy kitchen. Have fun!
