Do you give your fussy eater vitamin tablets?

Or do I have M-U-G tattoed on my head having just got some for dd1 from Boots?

She is living on cheese sandwiches (it seems) and it will sooth my furrowed brow to know she is getting some nutrients.

I give my kids haliborange multi vit liquid intermittently ( when I remember)

My ds2 went through a period of getting every cold going and being frequently tired. Mind you, this was when he first started school so it might have been the strain of that, but Idecided he needed more nutrients and gave him liquid vitamins. He hated taking it and I hoped it would inspire him to eat better, but i can't say it did.

He has a better diet now but it is 4 years later now. If it gives you peace of mind, do it.

yes I give ds2 vitamins, don't give a stuff if it's all rubbish but it makes me feel better

ANd i do try and offer him proper food and homemade icecream full of eggs and good things but he is a freak and stubborn to boot
so I am a big friend of vitamins

I give both of my kids a multi vitamin and fish oil. If I forget to give it to them one morning, they soon remind me!

And I just KNOW that dd2 is awaiting in the wings ready to push aside her sardines and brocolli (oh yes!) and demand that from now on, sandwiches must be cut into triangles apart from when daddy makes them and then they are square (WTF?).

Oh yes. My ds has multi vits and he loves talking them. Feels all grown up asking for his tablet.

He would also live on cheese sarnies and yes he tells me how he wants them cutting and cheese must be grated never sliced.

She is 3.6 yrs and has been a pain for about 8 months or so, the mind forgets.

Yep - giving vitamins is my top tip for faddy eaters. Not sure if it does any good, but psychologically it helps you relax a bit more and let them get on with it.

They grow out of it eventually, right?

(Ds1 used to be a fantastic eater too once ... sigh ... oh how the mighty have fallen...)

my dd has abidec she is a good eater but not great chewing meat... prfers vege food...
she also has eyeQ omega oils

DD is "allergic" to most vegetables, though thankfully will eat fruit with abandon. I give her a multi-vitamin daily in hopes that it will supplement where needed.

floradix iron and multivitamin tonic without yeast or gluten is what i give my daighter, i mix it with her food.

Don't give 'Sanatogen for Kids' - they contain aspartame

I don't, DS is so fussy that he refuses to touch the vitamins too, have tried pulverising them and mixing with food but then he refuses the food too.

I stuff him in broccoli for calcium and try to keep a balanced diet as much as we can.
