Baking for the school xmas fayre

Ok, after last year's disaster (tasteless cookies - thanks Nigella - which I covered with glow in the dark green icing to try and brighten them up as xmas trees) I feel I need to try again.

Any suggestions ? I'd prefer cookies/biscuits/something which is easy to transport that I can put e.g. 5 in a cellophane bag so they can be sold for 50p ish ?

Flapjacks? Very easy to make, can be dipped in chocolate if needed?

Yddraigoldragon - you must be following me ! I posted a couple of months ago about my disaster with Nigella's flapjack recipe - turns out the recipe book has a typo. I ended up with granola. I need to find a tried and trusted recipe I think !

Snickerdoodles. No fancy ingredients either so not expensive and can make them as big or as small as you like.

Very easy, transport well and if you like cinnamon a winner.

Or Oreo truffles.

Using cream cheese and Oreo crumbs (google the recipe for exact amounts), just make sure you put the mixture in the freezer before handling as it is really hard to roll when it gets warm.

They are yummy.

Snowman poo ( mini white marshmallows, bagged in small quantities and labelled) and reindeer droppings ( chocolate coated raisins again bagged and labelled ) tend to go down fairly well for 50p.

Lidl do cheap bags of chocolate raisins, most supermarkets do mini mallows fairly cheaply. If you have a B&M nearby their mallows are just 39p

Not Nigella lol, far too fancy for me. An old recipe in the Hamlyn cookbook I had about 30 years ago, never fails - but it was invented before people worried so much about calories...
