How to get the 'fat' of the top of soups/casseroles etc

Hi,
I hope someone can help with a tip to getting the fat off, that collects on the top of soups or casseroles..??

There must be an easier way then my way of dabbing at it with kitchen roll.....

Please help me.......

Freeze or chill it so it solidifies.
Or...tip the casserole dish to one side,so fat drains to that side,then lift it off (gently) with a spoon.

get one of those brush things from lakeland

or put sliced bread on top and it soaks up
