I have lots of carrots.

I like carrot cake but DH and DD1 don't. We all like chocolate cake. Would it be possible to make a chocolate carrot cake that doesn't remotely resemble carrot cake in flavour or texture? I think if I didn't tell DH there were carrots in it he might try it.

I have tried this before with a chocolate courgette cake which he refused to eat. Should I even bother?

No problem. One of my colleagues does a chocolate beetroot cake that is very chocolatey and does not really taste of any of the beetroot. It just adds moisture.

I would just make a carrot cake for yourself. I would think that the chocolate would mask the carrots but if you like carrot cake, you don't want them masked really, do you?
