Alternate to white wine in spaghetti vongole?

I'm making spaghetti vongole tonight however the recipe calls for white wine, does anyone know what alternative I can use instead? Not drinking at the moment and don't really want to open and waste a whole bottle.

Stock or just water will do. But stock would be best.

Do you have any vermouth knocking about? That's generally what I use in place of white wine if I don't have any. I've used it in spaghetti vongole before and it's been fine.

I don't have any vermouth, but I do have a bit of sake kicking around, do you think that would be ok? by the wat not normally a sake drinker but I made a batch of teriyaki sauce the other day otherwise I may just use stock.
