I'm told by my 12yo that his official favourite is this Meatloaf recipe. Minced beef & pork with onion, breadcrumbs and egg, flavoured with herbs and other bits and pieces, wrapped in streaky bacon, baked slow in a loaf tin and served sliced with cranberry sauce.

Homemade lasagne. Much better than the commercial frozen stuff and tasts better if left in the freezer for a week or so before defrosting and eating.

my lasagne
my Mum's beef stew
my MILs roast dinners
my Dad's legendary poached eggs on toast. Produced reflexly in any family emergency "What we could do with for tea is a nice poached egg on toast..."

My roast chicken, roast potatoes, veg and home made gravy (made with lashings of wine).

I like stuff I can just bung in the oven - i.e. seasoned chicken breasts, spread with butter, covered in garlic and sliced lemons with home made baked wedges (potatoes chopped into wedges, seasoned, coated with olive oil and jerk seasoning or paprika).

Chicken pasta bake (made with left over roast chicken)

Keema curry (minced lamb, onions, garlic, seasoning, curry powder and peas)

Gosh it's hard to whittle down to just one! Faves of DS's include:
haloumi with cous cous and sweet sour tomato sauce
quorn keema (but only with sweetcorn as he hates peas fussy beggar
lentil dhal and rice
Grandad's soup

Ds loves toad in the hole, pasta and meatballs, fish pie and roast dinner. Dd would probably say Ham sandwich!

Spag bol made with penne pasta, so your DD can pick it up with her fingers and have a good munch :)

My children love a roast beef dinner.

Chicken or turkey thighs slow-cooked in stock with shallots with a little crème fraiche stirred in at the end, served with rice or mashed potato and green beans.

Goes down a treat with everyone here.
