I've just got some out of the back of the cupboard and it smells revolting. The tub has been previously opened, so I'm wondering if it's gone off (can dried milk go off??).

Any thoughts?

Yes it can go off - even DH, who will eat almost anything, throws it out when it is beyond sell by date. If it smells bad throw it out.

I use dried skimmed milk in coffee and it smells okay Well, I wouldn't rub it over any pulse points, but it's not revolting. I'd say chuck it. I'm sure it can go off or stale if it's been opened.

Thanks all. It really does smell horrid, but as I've only used it once (in the bread-maker) I couldn't remember.

It's in the bin.
