how to make a fondant little girl?

I've never made a figure before, may need some help, i have to make a cake for a 3 yr old, with a little girl sitting down on a few large daisies, any ideas?

Help, anyone? please!

I have just made an Angelina Ballerina this evening :) this is a good tutorial for people in general, I tend to use caricature faces rather than proper ones, it is much easier. If you find a picture of the sort of thing you want then use the tutorial as a base.
