Moving house food, help me organise my thoughts

...please Smile

We are moving (finally) next Saturday. The house will be all packed up within an inch of its life on Friday and the fridge-freezer defrosted ready to be loaded onto a truck on Saturday morning.

a) what shall we (me, DH, 3 X DCs) eat on Friday night?

b) what shall we do about breakfast on Saturday?

c) what could I make in advance (but not really any more advancey than Thursday) that we could eat on Saturday night in the new place? Or am I mental to even consider eating anything other than takeaway?

Ideas would be very welcome, I feel like I've been on the phone all day today sorting things and I don't want to have to make another decision!

I know that eating out on Friday or Saturday night is an option but I feel like we're haemorrhaging money so would like lower cost options!

I am moving in 2 weeks!

We are going to get a takeaway for the first night in the new house.

For brekkie that morning we wil just have cereal, so the only things not packed will be 3 bowls, 3 spoons, box of cereal and tea making stuff, which can all be chucked into a box straight after.

I hadn't thought of the night before, KFC probably!

I have ordered an online food shop for the morning after we've moved in.

The night before the move I would go out or have a takeaway- chances are things will be manic and the last thing you I'll feel like doing is cooking

In the morning, I would have cereal or some croissant type things

On Saturday how about having a picnic style meal - a cold roast or rotisserie chicken, some part baked baguettes and salad...?

a) takeaway
b) McDonald's
c) takeaway
