Everyone needs a kitchen aid. I couldn't make Yorkshire puddings without it. I got mine after 3 months of selling everything not nailed down on eBay!

My friend's mother always bakes. hers after mashing. Any leftover lumps bake soft. Also makes dinner timing easier as the time-consuming jobs aren't all left to the last minute.
