i initially wanted to replace our defunct (very well used) steamer and ooh the lakeland catalogue arrived by magic with the post...
Now, ive seen the superchef... i am wondering whether i should get one or just stick to a mew steamer.
I have 3 small boys who eat loads - i am quite busy and maybe that would help me? or is it just an expensive gadget??
the idea of sticking rice in it and ending up with a prefectly cooked risotto 30 mins later is appealing, then again im not sure howit works, because it is quite imprtantfor your risottoto be cooked properly to 1) brown the rice, 2) make it absorb the wine and 3) add stock and the rest of it. so how does this work? do i add the liquids in a special compartment and they are rleased as and when needed? or do i need todo that myself (defeating the purpose of having spent £199) on something that promise to do it all for you....
